The crab cakes were meaty but lacked the needed flavor and spices. Marinated crab claws were pretty good. Tamales were good, spicy. A lil jazz music in the private rooms would be nice. Overall, i would return.

Without a doubt, one of the premier steakhouses in the Southeast. From the first-class service, one of the best wine lists you'll find anywhere, to the well-executed menu, Shapley's just gets everything right. Delta tamales with diced filet filling, barbecue shrimp that begs dipping with their freshly baked bishop's cap bread, crab legs marinated or fried, these are the most popular starters. For the main course, choice cuts of the best beef cooked perfectly to your specifications. Porterhouse, filet, ribeye, or New York strip, all are excellent here. I prefer the strip, medium rare and no matter the size or cut, the Shapley's grill masters get it just right. For those that can pace themselves, the desserts are executed just as flawlessly. I'm a fan of the bread pudding with the butter-brandy sauce. Friends rave about the chocolate chess pie. If I sound like a fan, I am. It's an upscale price point, but one that delivers every penny's worth in enjoyment. A nice choice for a well-earned reward experience. Celebrate your milestones here!
My steak and sides of asparagus and scalloped potatoes was divine. Its definitely a special occasion type place though. The fried crawfish appetizer was also delicious. I'm normally not a cocktail sauce lover but theirs was delicious. It had an extra tangy flavor like it had fresh citrus juice in it.
GREAT food and GREAT customer service. Steaks were prepared perfectly. The side items (asparagus, scalloped potatoes and others) were all incredible. The lemon ice box pie WAS AMAZING! After a great successful day of showing houses going to Shapley's was the perfect ending. I highly recommend this restaurant.
