It's a cheap option and you can definitely get a good workout in. Wish they had normal barbell bench and squat racks. They only have smith machines and the dumbells only go up to 75 lbs. They keep it clean and the staff is friendly. Some of the cable stations need replacing/repair which is frustrating during certain workouts.
It's not a bad place. There's some decent machines, tons of cardio equipment if that's your thing, but it could be better. PF doesn't cater to the typical gym person. If this place had a power cage or squat rack, it would be my go to place. I refuse to squat on the Smith Machine because of the unnatural motion and bind it puts your back into. I'll probably cancel when my membership is over.
I love this Planet Fitness! It's conveniently located near the reservoir in Ridgeland. It offers everything from elliptical machines, aqua massage tables, and tanning beds. Whether you are regular member for $10 a month or a black card member for $20 a month Planet Fitness is the gym for you.
Great PF location. The personal trainer there is Zach Smith was the best I've ever trained with and educated me along the way!
The total body enhancement machine is filthy. I wiped down the bottom of it before I got in and each time the napkin was black. There were little black hairs everywhere. The massage chairs are also not good. They keep pausing and then continue going very slowly. I've been to 3 planet fitness gyms and this one is my least favorite. The gym itself is great. We love planet fitness. But that total body enhancement machine was so gross!!
